Premium cattle, responsibly raised on the rolling pastures of northeastern Iowa — where generations of stewardship meet modern ranching excellence.
Oberbroeckling Cattle Inc. is a family-owned cattle operation based in Sumner, Iowa. For generations, our family has worked the land, raising livestock with a deep respect for the traditions that have shaped Midwest ranching.
We don't treat our herd as commodities — we treat them as the legacy they represent. Every animal is raised with careful attention to health, temperament, and the natural rhythms of the land they call home.
The Oberbroeckling name carries weight in this part of Iowa — not because of ambition, but because of consistency. We show up every season, every year, doing right by our animals and our neighbors.
Our ranching roots run deep in northeastern Iowa. What began as a simple commitment to the land has grown into a multi-generational operation built on hard work, honesty, and an unwavering respect for the craft.
The fertile pastures surrounding Sumner provide the ideal environment for raising healthy, well-conditioned cattle. We manage our land with the same care our grandparents did — because this land belongs to our children too.
We are neighbors first. Our relationships with local buyers, fellow ranchers, and the Sumner community are built on personal trust — not contracts. When you work with us, you're working with people who know your name.
From breeding stock to market-ready cattle, every decision we make is guided by one principle: do what's right for the animal, the land, and the buyer.
Carefully selected genetics for strength, docility, and proven performance in the Iowa climate.
Our cattle graze freely on native and managed pastures — never confined, always healthy.
We sell directly to buyers, breeders, and ranchers — no middlemen, no surprises, fair prices every time.
Every client gets direct access to the ranch family. Call us — we'll answer and talk it through.
We don't just work the land — we protect it. Sustainable ranching isn't a trend for us; it's the only way we've ever known, and the only way we'll pass it on.
